Set against the backdrop of the Japanese occupation of Korea in the 1930s, the narrative unfolds across Seoul and Shanghai as Yeom, an agent of the Korean provisional government, is tasked with forming a trio of assassins. Their objective: to eliminate the leader of the Japanese occupiers and further the cause of freedom by targeting a wealthy collaborator.
The action sequences significantly enhance the movie's appeal, particularly during the two assassination scenes, where Jun convincingly portrays a precision sniper and Ha Jung-Woo shines as the composed, charismatic anti-hero.
