Fermat's Room (2007) - 90 min

Fermat's Room (Spanish: La habitación de Fermat) is a Spanish thriller film directed by Luis Piedrahita and Rodrigo Sopeña.
Starring Alejo Sauras, Elena Ballesteros, Lluís Homar, Santi Millán & Federico Luppi.
Four mathematicians were invited into a remote old warehouse by a mysterious host in order to solve a complex mathematical problem. No sooner the puzzle begins which must be answered within 60 seconds to keep the room steady otherwise it's going to shrink.
First of all, it's not a violent game movie like “Cube” or “Saw”. It's a puzzle thriller and the concept is simple - To survive, they should solve puzzles. Visually, the film is impressive and keeps the tension factor alive. Most of the scenes took place in a single room and the claustrophobic feeling was evident in each scene. Overall, it's a fast paced thriller and I really enjoyed it.
Verdict: Average
