Tsotsi is a criminal who robs money from people and one night while robbing a guy one of his gang member commits a crime. Boston, a friend of Tsotsi was against their behavior and after an argument Tsotsi beats him. On the way back to his home Tsotsi hijacks a car of an innocent woman. While driving the car he saw a baby lying in the back seat and that's when everything changes.
Tsotsi is considered as one of the best South African movie ever made and the only South African movie that has won Oscar for 'Best Foreign Language Picture'. Chweneyagae portraits the role of Tsotsi wonderfully and moreover it's a character study of Tsotsi. Overall, the film is beautifully shot and it has an eye-opening insight into the lives of people growing up in poverty.
