Max Vatan is a Canadian intelligence officer who pairs up with Mariann Beausejour a French Resistance Fighter in order to assassinate a German Ambassador. With the help of Marianne's contacts Max gets an invitation to the party where they plan to kill the German Ambassador.
As a director Robert Zemeckis once again focuses on characters' emotions and how they plays out. The pace of the film was lost in the middle scenes and somehow a twist keeps the movie alive from there onwards. The chemistry between Pitt and Cotillard was disappointing and As individuals, both did fine. Pitt was very good towards the end scenes and also he handles the emotional scenes superbly. On the other hand, Cotillard's facial expressions and body language will fascinates you without any doubt. Overall, It's a tense ride that actually works as a dramatic spy thriller.
