Moonlight is an American drama film written and directed by Barry Jenkins.

The film is divided into three chapters as 'Little', 'Chiron' & 'Black'. A 9 year old kid Chiron was taunted by his classmates and While hiding from them, Chiron meets Juan, a kind man. He takes chiron to his home and gives the young boy a place to stay. Juan and his girlfriend both ask him questions, but Chiron was not interested to talk.
The three stages of Chiron character were played by Hibbert, Sanders & Rhodes and to be frank it's a perfect casting from Jenkins. It's a film about emotions and a coming age story of a troubled boy. Ali's incredible performance takes the movie into a whole new level and Jenkins has no interest in making Ali's character the center attraction. Overall, the film is an entirely different portrait of young male adolescence and only those who has the patience can watch this beautiful film.
