ARQ is an American science fiction film directed by Tony Elliott.
Starring Robbie Amell, Rachael Taylor, Shaun Benson, Gray Powell, Jacob Neayem & Adam Butcher.
The movie begins at 6:16 AM with Renton and Hannah wakes ups in the morning. A trio of men breaks into the bedroom, knocking Renton over and dragging him from his bed out of the room. Renton dies at the hands of this captors, he awakes again in the same place at the same time with the same scenario about to begin.
There are so many twists and turns within the loops themselves and it's hard to predict what's going to happen next. Elliott's screenplay throws different obstacles each time, which was kind of cool. The repetition scenes are handled with different camera perspectives that are somewhat compelling. Like Timecrimes, Groundhog Day, Triangle and Edge of Tomorrow, the main character gets stuck in a time loop and he uses his knowledge to outwit everyone and hopefully tries to escape. Overall, it's a watchable time loop movie and it's not going to disappoint you.
Verdict: Average
