The Breed is an American thriller film directed by Nicholas Mastandrea.
Starring Michelle Rodriguez, Oliver Hudson, Taryn Manning, Eric Lively & Hill Harper.
Two brothers, Matt and John, take their friends to a late uncle's cottage on a remote island for a weekend. They think they're the only ones there until one evening when a dog attacks one of them and cottage is surrounded by a group of dogs. As the day goes on, the group finds themselves fighting for their lives and trying to find a way off the island.
Like most horror movies the story is kind of usual type and the only thing that matters here is intelligent dogs. The suspense, stunt set pieces and scare bits were all handled with skill that makes it a watchable flick. It’s a battle for survival and it's thrilling too. Overall, it's worth a shot to those who like picnic survival movies.
Verdict: Average
