Voice of a Murderer (Korean: Geunom moksori) is a South Korean crime thriller film directed by Park Jin-pyo.
Starring Sol Kyung-gu, Kim Nam-joo, Kim Yeong-cheol, Song Young-chang & Go Soo-hee.
The film tells the true story of the kidnapping of nine-year-old Lee Hyung-ho in South Korea in 1991. Han Kyung Bae is a successful news anchor, but his quiet life comes crashing down when his son gets kidnapped. Next day the kidnapper calls him and asked for a ransom. After that, the whole Kidnapping thing changes to a cat-and-mouse game.
The film failed to create tension and pace of the plot also lags sometimes. However, director Jin-pyo Park efforts cannot be denied in adapting a true story. He always gave importance to this kidnapping event and how the family plays out the situation. Voice of a Murderer is one of the underrated movie from South Korea and It's not a straight-up thriller like Memories of Murder.
Verdict: Average
