On the Job (2013) - 115 min

Country: Philippines
Director: Erik Matti
Cast: Piolo Pascual, Gerald Anderson, Joel Torre & Joey Marquez.
Tatang and Daniel are two hitmen who got special arrangements in prison. They kill in daylight for powerful politicians and returned to their cells at night. After one brutal murder, police sergeant Acosta starts his investigation to find out the truth behind all these unsolved cases.
The film is based on actual events and prison inmates were used as traceless killers by politicians with the help of police officer's. Matti's thriller is driven by fully realized characters and also deals with political corruption and social matters. The film looks more realistic than what I anticipated from it and to be frank this Filipino movie got my attention from the first scene. Overall, I really enjoyed it and decide to watch more Filipino movies.
Verdict: Good
