12 alien ships arrived and settled in 12 different locations on earth. Dr. Louise Banks, a linguistics professor and physicist Ian Donnelly were recruited by U.S military to make contact with the aliens and figure out why they're here. Louise, who stuck in past memories of her daughter has to find a way to solve this situation.
Eric Heisserer's screenplay is based on a short story by Ted Chiang titled 'Story of Your Life'. Denis Villeneuve, who is famous for Incendies and Prisoners is back with one of the best Sci-fi film of the year 2016. Both Amy Adams and Jeremy Renner provide a usual performance and making Amy as the center of attraction while leaving aliens most of the times. Overall, the film has an engaging plot and the scenes inside the alien ship was a masterpiece.
