Frozen Land (Finnish: Paha maa) is a Finnish drama film directed by Aku Louhimies.
Starring Jasper Pääkkönen, Mikko Leppilampi, Pamela Tola, Petteri Summanen & Matleena Kuusniemi.
A school teacher gets fired from his school and he shows that frustration of getting fired to his son. His son buys a CD player from a shop using a fake 500 Euro note. Later, Shop owner finds out it's a fake note and he gives it to an innocent customer. Likewise a chain reaction started of bad luck to everyone.
The film is divided into 6 chapters 'Unemployment', 'Booze', 'The Axe', 'Family', 'Snowpile' and 'Police'. The interesting thing about the film is its all interconnected and without any loopholes Aku Louhimies presented it all wonderfully. The six chapters have different surrounding and entirely different emotions. The film starts slowly and gets interesting after the lazy start. Overall, it's a feel bad movie and lives of common people are ruined by unexpected circumstances.
