A Street Cat Named Bob is a British family comedy-drama film directed by Roger Spottiswoode.
Starring Luke Treadaway, Ruta Gedmintas, Joanne Froggatt, Anthony Head, Caroline Goodall & Bob the Cat.
It is adapted from the real life story of James Bowen and his best buddy Bob, a ginger cat. James is a drug addict and he plays guitar on the streets for a living. Out of nowhere one day a cat pops up into his apartment through a window. The cat became a regular companion and James named him bob.
It's a feel good movie and also deals with some serious issues. Treadway portraits the role of James and the pain, struggle was evident in his face. The music was good and some of the camera angles got my attention too. This movie will give you a whole new experience and I love cats, for me it's a special movie. There are a lot of emotional ups and downs and the director succeeds to draw you into the emotional scenes. Overall, highly recommended to those who love feel good movies and must watch for cat lovers.
Verdict: Great
