Detour is a British thriller film directed by Christopher Smith.
Starring Tye Sheridan, Stephen Moyer, Emory Cohen, Bel Powley & John Lynch.
Harper is a law student and his mother is in a coma after a car accident. He strongly suspects his stepfather Vincent is responsible for all this and also believed Vincent is having an affair with another lady. Harper meets Johnny Ray and his lady friend Cherry in a bar and they plan to go Las Vegas and kill Vincent.
Tye Sheridan as Harper is very likeable and at the same time very convincing too. This film borrows the old style of story telling way, but executed it well. Christopher Smith's script is solid and multi-narrative plot is very impressive. Overall, It's not a great movie, but it is a watchable road movie.
