Silenced (2011) - 125 min

Silenced (Korean: Dogani) is a South Korean film directed by Hwang Dong-hyuk.
Starring Gong Yoo, Jung Yu-mi, Kim Hyun-soo, Jung In-seo & Baek Seung-hwan.
Kang In-Ho is a newly appointed art teacher at a boarding school for the deaf and hearing impaired children. From the first day onwards he started to notice weird behavior of students and later find out what's actually happening in the school. With the help of a social worker, he starts to fight for the children’s rights and bring those responsible to justice.
The film has made a huge impact on Korean people. The real event took place in the year 2000 and Two months after the film's release Gwangju City officials shut down the school. The film has an incredible story and the child actors were very good in their roles. Overall, it's a highly recommended movie and all the credits goes to the director for making this kind of film.
Verdict: Brilliant
