The Police finds an unknown female corpse in the basement of a home where a multiple homicide took place and they nicknamed the corpse as 'Jane Doe'. Sheriff brings the corpse to a morgue and it's a family-owned morgue run by Tommy Tilden and his son Austin. They started the autopsy and things begin to get really weird around their surroundings.
The film has won the People's Choice Award in the category of  Midnight Madness(First Runner Up) in Toronto International Film Festival. Brian Cox and Emile Hirsch play the father-and-son bond superbly and how they manage to solve this mystery situation makes the story moving forward. The Irish actress Olwen Kelly, who plays Jane Doe delivers an unorthodox performance as the corpse and lie perfectly still for hours. Øvredal mainly concentrates on the storyline that grasp the viewer attention from beginning to end. Overall, the film contains some adult material and only recommended for those who can handle autopsy scenes.
Verdict: Average
