I Am a Hero is a Japanese horror film directed by Shinsuke Sato.
Starring Yo Oizumi, Kasumi Arimura and Masami Nagasawa.
Hideo Suzuki is a 35 year old manga artist who dreams of a world in which he can be useful to others. Out of nowhere one day a virus starts to spread rapidly that can transform humans into zombie-like creatures called ZQN. After escaping from original outbreak, Hideo hears a radio announce that Mt. Fuji is the safest place around there and he starts his journey with a sporting shotgun.
The script by Akiko Nogi adapts the narrative thrust of Hanazawa's 18 volume series. The film tells the story of a useless guy who end up in a zombie apocalypse. The acting and soundtracks were pretty good and I really enjoyed the final sequences. Overall, it's a well executed movie and if you like zombie movies, it's a must watch flick.
Verdict: Good
