Next Time I'll Aim for the Heart (2014) - 110 min

Next Time I'll Aim for the Heart (French: La Prochaine fois je viserai le cœur) is a French thriller film directed by Cédric Anger.
Starring Guillaume Canet, Jean-Paul Comart, Hélène Vauquois, Ana Girardot & Jean-Yves Berteloot.
Based on actual police reports surrounding the events of a series of murders in France in 1978. Franck, a mentally disturbed cop ride stolen cars in night and pick up young girls who asked for a ride and kills them. Also Franck leads the investigation to find the serial killer responsible for this crimes. Things got out of control when Franck begins an affair with a cleaning lady Sophie.
It's a slow burning atmospheric thriller. Canet portraits Franck’s madness brilliantly and He’s especially convincing in a few scenes. Performance wise, it's a top notch movie and that's the only thing I liked about it. Overall, it's a watchable thriller based on actual events.
Verdict: Average
